Need dress help - 14 weeks pregnant
Next weekend I have an event to go to with DH for his fire department. It's an evening ball at a very nice reception hall. This is our first year attending, so I'm not sure whether to go with a long dress or short cocktail dress. The men will be wearing suits and ties.
I'll be just under 15 weeks pregnant. I'm already showing a decent amount and I cant for the life of me figure out what to wear. Can anyone help me find a dress for this??

Need dress help - 14 weeks pregnant
I am in the SAME BOAT -- i have a wedding in 2 weeks (will be 19 wks preg). I am POPPED. I went on Rent the Runway and searched "bump friendly" and dresses came up. Depends on what you want to spend, but there were 2-3 nice ones i found.

I wish I would have known that few months ago! I had a black tie event at 36 weeks. Searched maternity on Rent the Runway and came up with nothing.
Luckily, I just happened to find a floor length black maxi dress in the Motherhood part of Macys for next to nothing on clearance. I was able to dress it up and it worked. Earlier on, you might get away with a flowy non-maternity dress or something stretchy.

I did the same thing just a few minutes ago. I did find some options but most are floor length. I have a feeling this event might be more cocktail length dresses, so I'm trying to decide if I can get away with renting something knee length that's non-maternity.

At 14 weeks i bet you can! There is one cocktail dress there that a lot of people rented with baby bellies. I think it is badgley mishka... and sequined. A little flashy for my usual taste but a lot of ppl seem to love it.

Do they sell Maternity bridesmaid dresses at David's Bridal? I know you can buy things right there in the store and not order it.

I would go with a short cocktail dress. I've been to a lot of fire department events and a short dress is always appropriate. Since you don't have a lot of time I would just go to any maternity store and try stuff on until you find something. Good luck!

Thank you! I was leaning towards short but I'm so glad to have an opinion of someone whose been to these things before. I'd hate to be under or over dressed.
