Universal Question: Hogwarts Express
Is it worth it to upgrade from "Base Ticket" to "Park-to-Park" so that we can ride the Hogwarts Express? My kids are Harry Potter fans and I'm sure they'd love it, but I'm not sure its worth the extra $200?

I would upgrade if you are only going for one day. Oh wait...I see, you need to have a hopper to ride the train (we went before that existed). I would probably do it, but then make it a point to do stuff in both parks

Yes! There are Harry Potter sections in both parks. You can use the train to get from one side to another. We were there two weeks ago and we did two park tickets. We aren't HP fans, but it was awesome. The train ride was cool an you walk "through" the wall.

Absolutely! You must have a park to park for the Express as you know and it's different both ways.

The train ride is meh but I agree get it so you can do Harry Potter stuff in both parks.

Yes! 100% get the park hopper ticket. My DD is a huge Harry Potter fan and we all loved the train ride and train station experience...

Will you have just 1 day there? If so, absolutely.
If you have more than 1 day, I personally don't think the actual train ride was anything special. There is one cool visual effect where you disappear into the track. It happens super fast though and it is easy to miss. I wanted to record it but I wasn't prepared in advance and the line was so long that you couldn't do it twice.
