Pediatric dentist
Anyone have a recommendation for a pediatric dentist that is awesome with difficult children?? My 6 year old hates going and gives the dentist a really hard time. the one we see now is very nice but she just can't get him to cooperate! I feel like she doesn't really try to relieve his fears and I do everything I can to make him less anxious but he just doesn't cooperate. The last 2 appoints we had she wasn't able to do anything but a quick exam. Today she tried to do laughing gas to relax him but it made him feel dizzy. So she had me reschedule ....again! I feel like it's time to try someone new! I'm in Nassau but would be willing to travel for a great dentist! TIA

That Broadway smile. They are amazing. They work with special needs kids so they can handle kids who have a fear of Drs/dentists. I started taking my son there when he was 2 and I was very impressed with the entire staff.

This was the first place I took my son at 2 years old and it was an awful experience!!! The dentist was so awful to my son and I left there in tears. I found the staff to be very cold! The office manager did call to apologize and the dentist we did see that day does not work there anymore! I'm not sure I could ever go back because that first experience is why he's so terrified of the dentist! Which dentist do you see there?

I have seen all. It's whoever is there. We have only had to go for cleanings so far and the hygentists are all great. My son actually asks when we get to go back.

Dr. Rania Elbaz in Merrick. She is amazing. Her brand new office is gorgeous. Each room has a TV with Netflix so the kids can pick any show they want. The waiting room has iPads for the children. The staff are very good with children. I know Rania personally too so I can attest to her brilliance and warmth. She is the only person I would ever consider taking my child to see!

My very easy going son hated Broadway Smile. He never gives me a hard time, but the hygienist was very in his face annoying after I told them he was a painfully shy child. We now go to Kidssmiles in merrick and he loves it

This! She is amazing.
Dr. Rania is absolutely amazing!!! My daughter had a horrible experience with another dentist when she was 4 and that terrified her of dentists. Dr. Rania took her time to meet with her and get her comfortable before she even did a cleaning. Now my daughter loves going to see her. She is so kind and warm. We are with her forever now
