child neurologist recommendations?

does anyone have a child neurologist they can recommend?

we live way out east but i'll go almost anywhere.

My 4 year old has been getting headaches and his bloodwork all came back negative so the pediatrician wants him to see a neurologist, which I agree with.

TIA!

I also saw Dr Rosenn. He fit us in quickly and was perfectly honest about the fact it might be a wait. It was but was within an hour of the appt and the office was packed.

All of our follow up though we had zero wait! He was great IMO. No nonsense kind of guy.

We see her too! We love her. She is apart of Cohen's Children's hospital too and we had a much better experience there than anywhere else

I took DS to Dr. Smith, waited 4 months for an appt... but didn't really see what the "big deal" so to speak, was...

ETA but this was for ASD so not sure how he is for other conditions

DD sees Dr. Jill Miller-Horn at neurology associates of Stonybrook. That's who she saw when she was hospitalized after her seizures started so we continued to see her after discharge. I've also heard great things about Dr. Louis Manganas who is also at that practice.

Re: child neurologist recommendations?

We see Dr. Bindra at Stony Brook. They also have an office in Hampton Bays that she sees patients at, maybe once a month. We usually go there because we're way out east too.

We ended up getting an appointment with her for July 12th and was put on cancellation list.

I tried some of the other doctors mentioned about and the earliest they had was September.

Re: child neurologist recommendations?

can I ask why some of your children see a neurologist?

i'm bringing my 4 year old for headaches. Just wondering if that's common because it doesn't seem like it is. Chat Icon

We saw Dr. Rosenn because my son had severe plagiocephaly when he was an infant. We followed up with him for a few years.

We just went once. Dd1 was a late walker and our dr just wanted us to see a neurologist to rule out anything else.

child neurologist recommendations?

My 9 month old has Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy after her cardiac arrest back in February. During her recovery, she began having seizures. She also has neurological related developmental delays. She's on anti-seizure meds and goes for periodic eegs to check for seizure activity and to measure her brain activity.

Re: child neurologist recommendations?

My daughter has been seeing Dr smith since she was 6 days old, he officially diagnosed her with Erbs Palsy, a brachial plexus injury as a result of shoulder dystocia (getting stuck at birth and couldn't move her arm for 2 months)....

We've had 2 MRI's done with him and now only see him every 6 months.. thank goodness bc he is booked which is def annoying.
I would recommend him but I had to cancel her last appt. Bc I was in hospital with my last pregnancy and surprised I had to wait as long as I did for a rescheduled appt.
