NYC DOE insurance covers both on July1 Which one is better?

I see so many great reviews for the Spectra. Is it that much better than the Madela? Why? I don't see bottles for the spectra. Which ones should I buy? Which attachment do I need to get? What does this attachment piece do? What about freezing? What do I need to buy? Freezer bags?

Medela Pump in Style is great. You can easily buy replacement pieces too. No experience with Spectra.

Spectra is so much better than medela. I used medela with dd1 and spectra with dd2. No comparison to me.

Spectra is better from what I've heard- It comes with like 2 bottles you pump into, but most people use Dr. Browns, Avent, or other bottles anyway- You just pour into them

Actually you can pump directly into avent natural bottles. I was pleasantly surprised by this! I do really like my spectra pump. No experience with medela.

Spectra2 is hospital grade or close it. You can get the medela to spectra adapter kit. So unless you are getting a medela symphony from your insurance, Spectra 2 would be my choice.

I'm getting the Spectra through my ins co. I'm lucky in that aspect. From the reviews I've read I'm just going that route.

I didn't have the Spectra available to me when I had DD so I got the Medela and hated it. If I have another I will definitely go with the Spectra, even if I have to pay OOP for it.
