cast iron sink- need rack on bottom?
We are getting a cast iron kohler farmhouse sink for kitchen Reno- plumbing place wants me to get $60wire rack to sit at bottom to avoid cracking things or scratching sink. Is this totally needed? Can I get cheaper somewhere else?
TIA!

Re: cast iron sink- need rack on bottom?
Idk about farmhouse sinks all I can tell you is sometimes the stuff sold in stores doesn't fit the same or cover the area you need it to as well as the manufacturer... My mom had gotten a new sink and the drain thing was 75$ She didn't buy you it. Went to BBb and got a cheaper one and the thing doesn't sit in the sink quite right etc. she had told me to just spend the few extra dollars and get the thing meant for the sink

If you're spending the small fortune on the sink, I'd go with the $60 rack - Like the PP said, sometimes less expensive doesn't fit correctly
