Induction and food
Were you girls told to eat before a planned induction? If yes, what did you eat? With my first pregnancy, I was induced within hours of my biophysical profile since I had low fluid. I didn't eat anything was basically on drip for like 2 days.
This time around I'm being asked to come in a couple of days since I'm post due and fluid level is low normal. Should I eat? Dr did not mention anything, I think he assumed I would know since I was induced once before.

Re: Induction and food
Definitely eat! I was induced because of low fluid. I had a few bpps before they decided to send me in though, so my doctor warned me to eat before each appointment just in case. It was first thing in the morning so I just had a bagel and juice. The hospital did bring me a liquid lunch of broth and apple juice but that dos absolutely nothing for me. Fortunately my induction went super fast so I was able to eat again by 8 o'clock that night. My wonderful BIL and SIL brought me shake shack!

Re: Induction and food
Both of my inductions weren't planned because both times, my water broke. Both coincidentally happened in the evening after dinner so I had eaten before both times.

Induction and food
I had a planned induction at 7am. I was told I couldn't eat after midnight the night before. I was just induced using pitocin though.

Induction and food
Eat! My first induction, they actually had me order dinner before they started. My second was scheduled so I ate on my own beforehand.

Induction and food
Eat!! My induction lasted 48 hours and then was a c-section. Went in on Monday afternoon and didn't have the baby until Wednesday night. Before we went in we went to the diner and I ate a huge bacon cheeseburger! I was starving. And wasn't allowed anything to eat until Thursday morning. It was torturous.

Re: Induction and food
Definitely eat. Dr. told me to eat a big meal and I ate a big lunch, went to the hospital at 3:30 on Friday and baby was delivered via c-section (after 25 hours of attempted induction, manual breaking of water, etc.) on Saturday night. I couldn't really eat anything until Sunday lunch (Sunday morning they gave me apple juice and brought me fruit but I wasn't feeling up to it yet).

Re: Induction and food
I had to be at hospital at 7 p.m. for my induction. I ate a regular dinner before.
