RHONY Jules divorcing husband after he cheated
She’s the newest “Real Housewife of New York,” but already has major drama.
Julianne Wainstein is splitting from venture capitalist husband Michael Wainstein after he filed for divorce last month. Life & Style reported, “She busted her husband cheating.”
A rep for Julianne confirmed to us: “Jules was completely blindsided by her husband’s cheating, and she is going through a divorce,” after eight years of marriage. “But she is very strong.”
A source said, “She is an entrepreneur and a great mom.”
Michael did not return a call seeking comment.
Reports said the pair had marital trouble before Jules joined the show, but a source told Page Six: “They were not having problems before the show… It started during production.”
The source added on Wednesday that upcoming episodes reveal Jules became suspicious of Michael’s mysterious texting.
Following news of the split, Jules’ “Housewives” co-star Ramona Singer, who went through her own nasty divorce from husband Mario following allegations of infidelity, told Page Six that she will be there for her friend.
“Jules is a strong woman, she has the support of her parents, she has the support of her friends,” Singer said Wednesday when we saw her at a Harmon Face Values beauty event. “I’m giving her my support, I’m sure the other ladies on the show will give her their support also. This is when you need your friends and family the most, and she’ll be OK.”
Singer added that she met Jules four years ago, and, “I always liked her and I always liked her spirit. She’s a great joy of life, great energy. And unfortunately, stuff happens in life but I know she’ll be stronger for it and she’s going to be just fine.”
Meantime, spies at a recent wedding at Apella said Jules, “came solo, danced the night away and looked stunning and very available.” The swanky nuptials were for the daughter of Old Homestead Steakhouse owner Marc Sherry, we hear.
