Anyone planning to food prep?

I want to food prep for DH and myself to make life a little easier once LO arrives in 5 weeks or so.

Any suggestions for recipes? I'm looking for meals we can make now, freeze and just reheat when we are ready. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks.

I will especially with twins!!! My big things that make a good amount are rice ball casserole (skinny taste recipe), baked mac and cheese, chili- those are the 3 things I get like 4-5 meals from if not more. I plan to also do like a tray of penne
For breakfast we are cereal people and fruit people. I would ideally like to do smoothies like I do now, I'm not sure though because I don't want to wake the babies, I have plenty of time to think about it. Usually for smoothies I cut my fruits and put in bags and freeze anyway. Each Sunday I boil a dozen eggs for DH and I- so quick for snacks/ breakfast during the week. I have also done a massive batch of pancakes, froze and then reheated. Usually I do this over the summer when I have state audit at work and need quick breakfast early in the morning for a good few weeks. You can also do French toast sticks, freeze then reheat. Snacks I would just do granola bars or containers of almonds- those are my go to snacks on a regular basis. Good luck!!! :) let me know if you need a recipe for anything!

The rice ball casserole Chat Icon holy hell, how have I not seen this before? I'm DEFINITELY making that!

Will you cook ahead just so you could reheat? or did you just prepare everything, freeze it and then make it fresh when you were ready?

Any recipes you're willing to share, I'm willing to take. I found this site which was SUPER helpful. Everything looks amazing!

I did meal prep for my SIL and BIL when they had their first. I HOPE to do it this time around since it's our 2nd. For them I made:
Pulled Pork
Chilli
Sauce
Soup

I cooked everything and then stored it. It was about 2 weeks worth of food. I gave them directions on how to heat it up. Made life easy, so this way either could heat it up and they didn't need to contact the other to ask or me. Even someone babysitting could've heated the food up.

Anyone planning to food prep?

I prepped about a month of food. It was the best thing I ever did. I had meatballs, sausages, chili, grilled chicken breasts, breaded chicken breasts, pulled pork. I just reheated everything.
