Deep Fried Oreos/Funnel Cake?
We're having a carnival themed party at my office and I often bake for these events. I'm having trouble coming up with dessert ideas that are easy to make ahead of time. So far I have:
-Cotton Candy Cupcakes -Deep Fried Cake Batter (No idea how this will work but it looks flipping delicious) -Ice Cream Cone Cake Pops -Mini Pies (Cherry, Blueberry) -Deep Fried Oreos -Funnel Cake
The deep fried oreos and funnel cake seem easy enough and even use the same batter, but I'm worried they won't reheat well. What do you think- if I do them the night before will they reheat in the microwave okay?

Unfortunately I think there's a good chance they will be soggy and also maybe greasy if you reheat in the microwave.
If someone has a ice crusher or wants to buy one, you could get some syrups and have snow cones!

They will not be good. We have bought DFO at carnivals and had a few left over and they are not good even a few hrs later.

Why not set it up as a station? Get a hot plate or buner, a heavy pot, and have someone make them? Super easy.

We used to do things like this but it got really out of hand. Plus we're a law firm and they're all about "liability" so they frown upon burners, open flame, vats of hot oil. I've suggested things like this many a time and always get shot down.

We're definitely doing these, but I'm in charge of desserts!

I was thinking churros in general, too! If they don't work, I'm adding churro cupcakes to the list!
