Need Dinner Ideas for a Large Group
We are going to OBX with 5 other families. Each family is taking a night to cook. There will be 12 adults and 14 kids. Any ideas on what I can make? I don't want to be slaving over a hot stove all day. There is a BBQ. Help!

grilled chicken with a few sides, like potato salad or pasta salad or even just bread.
simple, quick and the sides can be made in advance.

Taco Bar.
I usually do beef and chicken. Salad, tomato, cheese, sour cream, hard and soft shells.
You can even make the meat ahead of time.

BBQ Pulled Pork or Chicken in a crock pot w/ cold salads as a side (cole slaw, potato/macaroni/pasta salad). You can also serve with pretzel rolls or chips also.

Re: Need Dinner Ideas for a Large Group
So funny, we did the same last year and will agin this year! One thing that worked out awesome was my friend made and froze an entire pot of sauce with meatballs and sausage. It thawed on the way there and the next day she just heated that up, made a few lbs. of pasta, italian or garlic bread and salad. Done, easy and kids and adults all ate.
We also did a taco bar like mentioned above. made a big batch of meat, then made guac, heated up beans, put out all the fixings.
We did one night of chicken cutlets and sides and the rest of the nights did some kind of BBQing or went out.

This! BBQ pulled pork is always a winner.
Or you can do sausage and peppers in the crock pot as well. Serve with some rolls and make parmesan style?
Marinate a few London broils or skirt steaks all day and throw on the bbq. Put some baked potatoes in the oven for 1-1.5 hours. Or make with a pesto pasta salad or tortellini salad.
