If you had to pick...
from one of these places ...
for a long weekend for DH and I in Mid september...(we can do up to 5-6 nights if need be, but don't have to)
Clearwater
Nashville
Charleston
New Orleans
Myrtle Beach
San Diego
I'm not really sure what there is to do at each place etc i just have had these on my list of places I want to go for a while now.

OMG they all sound great.
I guess it depends on what you want out of the getaway?
Laying on a beach relaxing and having drinks- definitely ClearWater (and stay at the Sandpearl!!)
Site seeing and awesome food and music- New Orleans definitely.
Charleston I have also heard is awesome- but more of a sight seeing trip then relaxing kwim?
I've always wanted to go to San Diego but maybe a bit far for a long weekend- I'd save that for a longer trip so I'd have more time.

I know - I am SO torn between all of them. I have heard amazing things with each one!
I have off Wednesday to Wednesday - so I could technically do a full week... but I was thinking 5 nights. so I guess longer than a long weekend.
we are normally lay on the beach type of people (hence why I keep going back to clearwater in my thoughts) but - I feel like we will never get to any other place if every vacation is just - sit on the beach haha

That is a hard pick. I've been to most of the places on the list, except for New Orleans, and I think my top three would be Nashville, Charleston or San Diego.
I don't know if I would do 5 nights in Nashville though.

San Diego. For 5 nights you can get beach time, even rent a car and spend a day in LA if you want.

If you had to pick...
We would pick Charleston (loved it) or Nashville. But we like to sight see and do things, not just relax on the beach. Although, the beach is not far from Cahrleston and it was a gorgeous beach.

If you had to pick...
I've only been to New Orleans and it's one of my favorite cities. However, it's definitely not a beach vacation and you really only need 3-4 days to get a really good feel for the city.
I think if you have more time to spend I would choose San Diego!

yeah , we definitely don't HAVE to stay wherever we go five nights... it is an option though.

If you had to pick...
we did New Orleans last year and had a great time. We're not the stereo typical NO people and it was great. We just did a lot of things that weren't focused on getting drunk and bar hopping. Plenty of great restaurants, things to tour, plantations, shops, cooking class, jazz etc
Nashville seems cool too.
my wife did Charleston with her friends and it was good, but small not on the same level.
San Diego is good, been there done that but would want more than a long weekend.

We went to Charleston for a long weekend in mid-September last year. It was a great getaway. The food is incredible, we walked around slot, relaxed, drank and just enjoyed our time away.
I love San Diego too. We just spent 10 days there for a family vacation. For a long weekend, I'd probably want to stay more on the East Coast and not have to deal with long flights and time differences. All of your options sound great though.

we went to charleston last june for our 10th anniversary long weekend. we really loved it! so many great restaurants! its a fun city to just walk around. we did a tour of Patriots point (battleship). we toured an old plantation one day which was cool. and if you like laying on the beach, you could do a beach day... we drove about an hour to Edisto Island for the day to sit on the beach. there are a couple other beaches a little closer to charleston... we had a great time!!
