Alanis Morissette Gives Birth to a Baby Girl!
Hi, baby! Alanis Morissette gave birth to her second child, a baby girl, on Thursday, June 23, she announced via social media on Friday, July 8.
“she’s here!” the 42-year-old “Ironic” singer captioned a precious close-up photo of the newborn on Twitter and Instagram. “onyx solace morissette-treadway June 23 2016 #beyondblessed.”
In the adorable image, Morissette’s little bundle of joy cozies up to her while pensively staring off into space.
Morissette and her husband, Mario “Souleye” Treadway, are already parents to son Ever, 5. The couple announced they were expecting again via a sweet new addition to their annual animated video.
In the sweet clip, which she shared with fans in February, cartoon versions of Morissette and Treadway fall in love, have a child, and then, at the end of the video, examine a sonogram that reveals their second child.
Morissette has been open about her love for motherhood and watching Ever grow up. In October, she told Us that her little boy is “amazing.”
“He’s just coming into his own,” the Jagged Little Pill singer gushed. “We’re having real bona fide philosophical conversations. About anything — about aliens, about the galaxy, about what God is, about animals. You just cross your fingers behind your back and you hope you don’t blow it.”
