I have been getting my nails shaped in a "Squoval" (Square with rounded ends) Forever!

Is this still "in" or am I completely outdated? what are the current nail shapes for short nails?

Re: Lets Talk Nails

I try not to follow trends or what's "in". I do what I like, and what I feel looks good on me- for my hair, my clothes, my nails- pretty much everything.

For example- the pointy nail, claw look may be in style now and what's "trendy" but I skeeve it so badly and I would never in a million years wear my nails like that. I find it repulsvie actually.

But it's "in style"

If you like how your nails look now, rock them.
If not, change it up, for sure- but don't go by what some random has decided is "in"

I don't know if it's still "in", but this is how I have my nails too. Can't say I'd ever go for the pointy nail look and I hate having the corners squared off. So unless something "new" comes out, this is what I'm sticking with

How I have mine all the time as well. Easy to maintain and I like the wait it looks. Those pointy nails that are "in" right now are nuts! I couldn't function!

I get requests for all shapes from my clients. They hold up better than square nails I think. Its a personal thing really.

most clients when I do natural nails still ask for the "squoval" I think its better to have the rounded edges so they don't break as easy

I hate that pointy claw too. I keep my nails cut short. I hate how they feel long and I don't like gel or fake nails. So I usually have them polished and rounded as they would naturally follow my finger. The nail techs are constantly like so short! And I'm like yeah I don't want them long.
