My sister made me cry (in a good way)

My sister who is 9 years younger than me moved away (across the country) over 6 months ago. We talk here and there but lives get busy, etc. So she is in town to visit for the first time since she left. My twins were so happy to see her. My youngest who is 3 and has autism of course did not acknowledge her or even look when she came in.

When she last saw him, he was not diagnosed and we had no idea. She starts to call his name and try to tickle him. He is emotionless and walks away. She asks me is he still not talking yet? My eyes start welling up and I'm trying to find the words to tell her that he has autism.

So I blurt out and say we had him evaluated and he has autism. She says without missing a beat, so what? He is the most perfect little boy I have ever seen and scoops him up and starts kissing him.

I completely lost it and just started crying. I'm not even sure why. I was just so filled with so many emotions. I think my sister thought I was nuts .

What a special sister you have.
It's nice for her to let you know that it doesnt matter & she loves him no matter what.
I am sure he is WONDERFUL!! And he has a Great Mom
