Daycare or Nannies In Nassau?
I'm 21 weeks pregnant and beginning to look into the daunting decision of daycare or a nanny. I'm new to LIFamilies but I used LIWeddings all the time so I'm excited to join this group!
I live in Port Washington and it seems like our options in the area are all $1900+ p/month for infant daycare. Both me and my husband work in the city and take the train in everyday so we're not sure how feasible it is to drive somewhere and then come back from the train.
Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for nannies or daycares. My mom offered to watch one day but it seems like many places have only full time options. I appreciate any advice! Thanks!

Are you in the Port Washington Moms Group and the PWMama Sitter Swap on Facebook? There are a lot of people on there that have been posting nannies lately. I live in Roslyn (flower hill) and have a nanny so I don't know the daycares but I am sure a lot of moms on there know the daycares in the area.

I live in Port and ran into this same issue when DD was born. I enrolled her in an in home daycare in town and love it. Those groups listed above are also great resources. Feel free to FM me if you want more info.
