Minor hormonal vent!!

I swear when people find out you are pregnant with twins you would think that you were telling them you had a week to live with the way they act!!
I swear if one more person looks at me with a terrified and gravely concerned look and says "ooooo ouch your going to get big!" Thanks a-hole I thought I was going to look like a size 0 supermodel I'm going to kick them in the face
I've gotten the oh- good thing because I just thought you were getting fat- thanks. Maybe your packing on the pounds too?!?!
One more person says to me wow you won't be working much longer- that's another kick to the face- thanks moron but I'm not disabled, I know my body, I will listen to my body. I'm 13 weeks and feeling great
If I have to hear that oh man- that's going to be expensive you are going to need double of everything! Thanks had no idea- I figured one baby can just be strapped in the car with a bungy cord and the other would get the car seat.
Or the wow- what are you going to do?! What the hell do you mean what am I going to do?! They will be born, I will love them and give them the best life possible. That's what I'm going to do.
The most aggravating and insensitive question I've gotten on a daily basis is- wow twins, are they natural?! No they are plastic dolls. I swear my answer to people now is nope, they are fake got them at toys r us and then I get the HUH? Looks- like are you serious how insensitive and rude can you be?! Who asks people questions like that?! Family friends, coworkers, random people. Like seriously?!?!?

And if one more person touches my bump and then asks me if they mind I'm going to knock them out!!
I'm writing a book on things not to say to a pregnant woman, and then rude comments to woman pregnant with twins!!!

I could have written the same thing when I was pregnant with my twins! The things people say. Let me tell you they were 100% wrong. I did not get that big I only gained 28 lbs total, I worked has long as I could which my doctor made me stop because of traveling so far or I would have went longer. You are not getting fat its called growing babies. I think people everyone said how expensive it would be I didn't find it to be awful and people are EXTREMELY generous when they hear twins and bought me so much for my shower at home and my work shower. I barely had to buy a thing and the things I did buy I never felt were outrageous. You make it work! You do not know any better these are your first children so for you its all new and its your normal.

The natural question will never stop. I was shocked at first now I just answer they are IVF because we had unknown issues and it tends to shut them up. Its amazing my new baby was also thanks to IVF but no one has asked. AMAZING!

Hang in there the nasty comments NEVER stop people thing its ok to say these things. I was told recently by someone they thought I was gaining back all the weight I had lost. I lost 120 LBS before getting pregnant, at the point this person said this i had gained a whole 10 lbs! People are jerks!

People are idiots. For the record, 2 of my cousins had twins and they both looked amazzzzzing pregnant.

LOL. People just don't know how to act. I know I was in that boat before I had my DD. I remember going up to a friend of mine who looked pretty awful toward the end and told her she looked tired. She was greatly offended. Truthfully, it was the nicest word I could come up with at that time!

I am currently 21 weeks pregnant with #2 and one of my co-workers admitted to me today that she has been watching me carefully because she wasn't sure if I was gaining weight or pregnant. She said she didn't want to be disrespectful so she was waiting until she was pretty sure to ask. She then followed that up with a "YOU'RE ONLY 21 WEEKS!!! WHAT ARE YOU HAVING TWINS?"
Um, no, just 1 baby is inside me, but thanks for no longer wanting to be disrespectful!

People have so much to say about pregnant women. Its amazing the stupidity that comes out of their mouth.
Unfortunately you'll hear more of it as you go on in the pregnancy. Try to let it roll off your back if you can.... And for the ones that really piss you off then let them have it!
