name poll
Please no comments just he poll. the name is set so please no opinions wanted on what u think of either name just which one u like better.
the questions is which variation?
We like the name Remy, we love it. But we also liked making it longer as Remington and using Remy as his nickname. I am just curious what everyone likes better

Just Remy.
Remington sounds a little stuffy to me.

That was my exact qualm with it. I think its cute if he turns out to be lawyer or something, but as for the life of a child its a bit stuffy

Even though? That;s reason enough to use it! That's one of the influences.

I like just Remy, though people may think that's it's short for Jeremy. I agree that Remington sounds very stuffy.

I agree with this! Also, I feel like Remy is a nickname and a lot of people will ask you and eventually him what is it short for.

Remington is nice, just call him Remy and then he can choose what he likes when he's older.

Of the two I'd go with Remington. I tend to like longer more proper names rather than naming a shorter "nick" name.
Jonathan v jon Daniel v. Danny Christoper v. Chris
I know two people who named their son Remy this year. One is just Remy, they are french and the other I am not sure of its a Nick name or the child's given name.
Etc.

Remy.
I wouldn't name a child after a gun.

I was going to say exactly this. His formal name can be Remington but if you feel it's too stuffy for a child, you can call him Remy and when he gets older he can use either.

I would choose Remington and then call him Remy. That way as an adult he can make the choice whether to use his full name or stick with the shorter version.

Re: name poll
I would use Remington and call him Remy as a child. That way IF by chance he wants to be called by a more 'serious' name as an adult he can be. I am not sure if what I said before comes across right so here is an example: My uncle was Edward, liked to be called Eddie as a kid and now Ed as an adult. But i really like your name choice!
