Sesame Place
We are planning on going to sesame place sunday and monday. It says 100% chance of rain at night on sunday. Would you still go or go another weekend? We can cancel the hotel anytime. My concern is it's not that hot low 80's but I didn't want to go when it was in the 90's either

Re: Sesame Place
What were you planning to do outdoors at night on Sunday? If it only says rain at night then that's not a concern.
But I don't go by the forecasts anyway and I'd never ever in 100 years cancel a trip due to a forecast because the forecast is usually wrong.

Just the park and the pool at the hotel. I know what you mean about the forecast I guess we will have to take a chance.

I would still go then.
If you go and it rains, you make the best of it.
If you don't go and it doesn't rain, you feel annoyed at yourself for not going.
I'd rather the former.

Yes this exactly! I just bugs me because I didn't want to go when it was the heat wave and now I feel like it not hot enough but with the school year about to begin it's either now or never.

Re: Sesame Place
I cannot tell you how many times we went to Dutch Wonderland with forecast of rain.
We had booked it months in advance, I took off of work, DD was excited- there was no way I was canceling a vacation and all the planning I put into it due to a forecast.
And every single time, it never rained. Once or twice it was cloudy, or a sprinkle then sun. And when it was overcast and threatning it kept the lines down, less crowded and kept the blazing heat away.
It was actually better than this last year that we went and it was super sunny and hot and more crowded.

Re: Sesame Place
I took my kids to Hershey in the beginning of June and the weekend was forecast to be a total washout. We went anyway and the weather was PICTURE perfect.
Go and have fun!

They have a rainy day guarantee and you get a free ticket if it rains- so I'd still go for it!

Sesame Place
Go and have fun! The forecast will chang by Sunday. This summer, I find AccuWeather can barely get the current conditions correct and tells me it's going to rain in 10 minutes and never does, etc.
ETA - we were at Sesame last month and they closed the water section for a bit midday because a lightning storm was nearby. Forecast said heavy rain was coming in a half hour. We went back to the hotel for a long nap and it didn't rain until evening, when it wasn't supposed to rain. We still had fun in the light rain and the water section was even open then.

Re: Sesame Place
We went. It poured. But we were using water rides/pools anyway. It made the pool more fun. They may have closed the other rides while it rained temporarily, but I'm not sure. We also went to mall nearby which my boys always love.
It's a crowded place, bring patience.
