What brand are you using? We use barilla and the texture is great. Before that, things were hit or miss. I think you also need to make sure not to overcook it and cook in plenty of water.

Today it was trader Joe's black bean roti ni. Sometimes it's rice pasta. Sticky messes! Lol.

Rice pasta does get sticky. Use barilla and cook to al dente. Very very sensitive in cook time!!!

Try not to overcook it, I find that it makes it worse

Make sure the water is at a rolling boil before adding the pasta, do not over cook it and rinse it with hot water as soon as you drain it. Trader Joes organic rice pasta is my favorite but it is not forgiving to over cooking- the texture of Barilla and Ronzoni gluten free pasta is closer to semolina pasta but it is made with a rice corn blend but while the texture is better it really upsets my stomach.

Have you tried lentil pasta? I feel like it has the best texture, plus it's nutrient dense.

Due to dietary issues I can only eat brown rice pasta. I like the Trader Joe's ones the best. Make sure you are using lots of water or it will come out funky. Add oil to the water and check the pasta a minute before they say it's done. It gets softer after you drain it do make sure you don't wait until it's perfect in the water or you will have a mushy mess on your plate. The mixed grain pastas like Barrilla hold up better so if you can tolerate corn try one of them.
