Experiences that weren't as fun as you thought they'd be
Buying a House...I HATE everything about this process...from looking to paperwork to packing to closing to moving to unpacking!
Pregnancy...I know I am blessed to be able to carry a baby and have children. I try to remind myself of that. I don't have easy pregnancies and this one has been worse than my last.

Being a bridesmaid. Over it!!
this but I am a MOH. Honestly first and probably the last wedding I will ever be in!! Thankfully majority of my friends eloped and those who are still not married are not planning on asking anyone to be in their wedding!!
naming my kids but only because the name I really wanted for my DD I couldn't use

Re: Experiences that weren't as fun as you thought they'd be
Becoming a parent. I knew it wasn't going to be "fun", per se. But, I also didn't realize how much freaking worry comes along with it. I'm a mess on a daily basis.

yes this. Except the taking me 2 years part.
I HATED it with a passion. I feel like I still have PTSD from being pregnant. Hated every single second. And I wasn't even sick at all. I didn't have a ton of aches or discomforts. I felt 100% fine and worked until the day I gave birth. Uneventful, normal pregnancy. But I just hated it. It wasn't in my comfort zone even a little.
Hence why I am one and DONE!

Being a mom.
Don't get me wrong, I love my son and I knew it would not always be fun. But some fun would be nice.

Agree! Love my kids and would die for them but I don't get to enjoy them how I would like to between work and not having the cash to do cool stuff.
Also I HATED my wedding day. I was a nervous wreck, it rained, family drama...just felt like I couldn't be me.

Skiing for sure. I always thought it looked so fun. I've tried it twice, took lessons, and vowed never again.

The first time I tried to ski and even took lessons I broke my thumb. Never again. Not worth the 6 weeks of cast, etc

Disney World... I remember having such high expectations and thinking it would be nonstop fun. Instead I was exhausted and over it in like a day. And that was before kids lol! I may try it again down the road but this time I know it will probably be more stress than fun!

Snorkeling with sting rays. I was TERRIFIED. I have never been afraid of an animal in my life and I was in an all out panic. I had NO IDEA Id react that way, I was looking forward to it until I got in the water, realized how big and slimy they were and that there were DOZENS of them. Not to mention, those fluckers are stealthy, the kick up the sand on the bottom so you don't know they are coming and then brush up again you. UGH! Awful!
THIS! I love snorkeling, but the sting rays were a big NOPE for me. There were so many & they had no problem swimming right under us or folding up & swimming between our legs. Not for me!

And can't those things hurt you? Like aren't they dangerous? I never understood that. Why do people want to swim with those nasty things? Didn't the Crocodile Hunter dude die from one of those things?

Experiences that weren't as fun as you thought they'd be
I have to agree with everyone..preganacy was pretty awful.
I would have to say hosting Holidays, I had always dreamed of perfectly matched table settings, everyone laughing while Michael Buble crooned in the background, wine glasses tinkling as everyone gasped over my beautiful spreads that I whipped together without batting an eye. Yeah, I host the holidays and most times I am dripping with sweat, plopping it down on paper plates while people fight. I hide in my pantry and drink.
