Baby socks and daycare...what do you do??
So now that it's getting towards chillier days again I feel the need to put socks on DD, who is 6 months old. They never stay on her feet at daycare. Today one sock was not on her foot, nowhere to be found. Can't go through a pair of socks per day! What do people do? You can't really label socks either. Argh!

I love jumping bean socks sold at kohls. The only brand to stay on my 4 month olds feet.

At that age, I would put the Zutano fleece booties on her. They are the only things that would stay on!

I used to put those soft shoes, robeez, over the socks. They never fell off and they're hard for babies to take off.

Robeez were popular when I worked in day care. Then did tend to stay on over the socks

Re: Baby socks and daycare...what do you do??
For both of my kids, I used socks that were a little tighter around the elastic. I think last year the best brand I found for DD was Gerber from Target. Day care should be paying attention, though, and find them when they come off.
Remember that it's only temporary...and soon you'll be searching for lost socks AND lost shoes.

Re: Baby socks and daycare...what do you do??
no socks ever stayed on DS. In the cold, I would put them on him to get him in and out of daycare or just cover him good with a blanket. In his daycare, they said leaving him with no socks on in the class was what they preferred anyway since he was pulling himself up and starting to move around. He is 17 months now and still hates socks so this winter should be fun

I swore by Robeez when my daughter was that age and in the winter months, the Zutano booties that another poster recommended. I purchased both off Amazon. She is now 16 months and wears Stride Rite socks with her sneakers.

DD must be an anomaly because she keeps her socks on the majority of the time. I usually put her in Carters.

Interesting! My son is 5 months old and his socks are always on his feet, at day care or at home. I wonder if that will change soon!

Part of the problem now is she takes them off!

Baby gap socks and robiez were the best that I found for my kids. They always stayed on. None of the other brands worked as well.

I had the same problem at that age. Even the booties wouldn't stay on his feet. I bought these from amazon and they kept the socks on.
