Anyone watch The Good Place last night?
Just curious what others thought of it. I'm on the fence. I'll give it another episode or two, but overall I didnt love it. The concept was there, but I found myself cringing through a lot of it. Kristen Bell's character is unlikable to me.

I give it a C+ for the pilot. I will give it another few episodes. I feel like it could go either way.

Re: Anyone watch The Good Place last night?
I like the idea of the show but I didn't like the execution. Just wasn't very funny. I barely laughed. and I love kristen bell so I was disappointed.

I thought it was pretty funny actually and I didn't think I"d like it
I actually loved her character- and I am not a fan of her IRL at all! I kind of liked how evil she was and what a bytch she was. LOL like when they were at the bar and she was always scamming out of being the designated driver. I couldn't stop laughing when she ditched them for the hot bartender and was like- peace out bytches or something like that
LMAO

Anyone watch The Good Place last night?
I thought it was just *okay*. It was cute but when stuff started dropping out of the sky I was thinking, 'oh buy. This should be interesting.' LOL I felt like it went downhill from there and it doesn't seem like the storyline could get very far, but we'll see. I'll give it a chance.

Anyone still watching? I am hanging in there- but still can't see the storyline going very far.

Re: Anyone watch The Good Place last night?
I'm enjoying it more actually. I'm still not laughing out loud at it, but it's entertaining.
I'm starting to think that almost everyone there is actually not supposed to be there and they're all kind of pretending to be really good people so they "belong". Or possibly that it was designed to be that way - almost as a place where people who weren't TERRIBLE, but also weren't quite good enough to get into heaven are brought so they have a second chance of sorts to redeem themselves and become better people.
Ted Danson's character (I forget his name) made a comment in last night's episode that each person there would eventually fulfill their true purpose in life. My thought is, Eleanor's true purpose wasn't being met on Earth and her true purpose was possibly to help Chi (her soulmate) accomplish HIS true purpose. He thought his was writing that manuscript on Ethics, but he failed at that on Earth. With Eleanor to teach, I think he will be able to come to a more succinct conclusion about ethics and re-write his manuscript. So it's almost like they need each other to fulfill their true purposes in life. (If that makes any sense?)

This exactly. I think none of them truly belong. I loved the ending of episode 3 and watching episode 4 i did realize its not a laughing out loud type show but it is entertaining.

I'm enjoying it. I don't think any of them belong and have unfulfilled reasons for being there., including Michael.

These are some good points! I can see that after the last episode. I honestly can't see the show lasting too long.
