I've used TriState Window Factory in Seaford on Merrick Road many times and they are great

Re: Where to go to replace windows
We had originally used Active Doors and Windows about 6 years ago and our windows started becoming defective and fogging in between the panes. The company went out of business and the window manufacturer went out of business and we were out of luck.
We went through Lowes to replace some of the windows and were happy with them. I would warn to only purchase name brand windows whoever you go with....

Re: Where to go to replace windows
We used TriState in Deer Park. We had most of our windows replaced 3 years ago, and had our last one (a picture window) done today actually. No problems with the windows. They're good quality, good customer service and quick installation.

Re: Where to go to replace windows
Thanks all! I am going to get a few estimates. I do have a question. Did you put grids in your windows? What are most people doing now? Not sure which way to go with this.

Re: Where to go to replace windows
We got quotes from Tri-State Window and Unified. Tri-State was a little cheaper but I did not care for the salesman that came from Unified, so we went with Tri State.

Re: Where to go to replace windows
Wow... What do you do when you truly dont care for salesman that comes to your house? First He came the wrong day and then came again and was pissed we werent buying on the spot. And actually brought up he had to come twice. It was kind of uncomfortable. I didnt ask for him to come. He insisted while we were in the showroom. He didnt even measure so we could have done all we did in our home at the showroom when we were there last week. It was someone i was leaning toward using. We are getting an estimate this weekend with place we used before but was leaning toward other company but will probably pass due to salesman.

Re: Where to go to replace windows
Does anyone have triple glass windows? Do you notice a difference in the tint of the window?
