What's the longest you've personally owned the same vehicle.

Mine would still be my pickup truck. Bought it new off the lot almost 17 years ago. I ordered my PT Cruiser about 15 years ago from the factory.

I had my first car for 12 years. Could have and should have gotten rid of it much earlier than I did, but I was so attached to it.

One of the cars we have is a 2005 Hyundai Sante Fe, still going strong.

I have a 2002 Toyota Highlander that has escaped all the recalls. I bought it new. Never has given me a problem.

My current car. I will have had it 11 years in November. Plan to keep it another 2 years if it doesn't die before then and then FINALLY lease myself something new

Current car - 2007 eclipse. I should get rid of it soon bc I commute more now and it is complete sh&t in the winter but I loveeee it, I don't want to.

I personally have never owned a car, only leased.

My dad bought a 1961 MGA at auction when I was 3. He still has it, so it's been 27 years!

I never buy new

But that said I've had my current 01 Tribute since 2005. She has 163k miles and been from NY to TX to IA and back to TX haha

I keep my cars for an average of 10yrs

My 03 Mazda6 was from 05 to 15 so 10yrs there and my 93 Mazda MX3 was 96 to 05.

The main reason I never buy new is it is a total waste of money given how long I owe a car. Given I own them for 10yrs and only pay for half that time, it makes no sense to be upside down or owe more than it's worth as I'll never trade them in for value. I also modify all my cars so I add more as they get past the 3yr mark. Another reason I won't lease either. I see no reason to invest in something I have to give back and be limited by miles. I put 100k easily on all my cars. I am a traveler who has no issue getting out on the road. Even when I lived in NY, driving to NH or PA never bothered me for a weekend get away.

Which is probably why I've stuck with Mazda. I get so many more options and value for the money. They are reliable and fit all my needs without going way out of budget while also easily to modify, upgrade and live with for years (cost of maintaining).

7 years. my first car. sold it with only $33K miles on it. I've leased ever since then.

We are still driving our 1999 Honda Accord. 77,000 miles. It's our 2nd car (2 door, not feasible with 3 kids ).

For us the longest has been 6 years.
My parents have a 1997 Toyota truck with 200,000 + miles on it and it's still going strong my dad drives it everyday never had 1 problem with it!

I am pretty sure the car I drive now is the longest car I've owned. Got it in 2012. Most cars I keep 3ish years. I don't lease, I just drive a lot and prefer cars with a warrantee.

I am currently On my 5th year of my current vehicle and planning to get a new car in the spring. It already has 107,000 miles on it,

One of our cars is 12 years old. It has 80,000 miles on it.
