Best rain boots? UPDATE
I'm looking for rain boots that will keep me protected during rainy soccer games or running errands. I have a wide calf so bonus points for boots that are wider in the shaft. I'm not opposed to getting Hunter boots (the adjustable ones), but if I can find something cute and cheaper, that would be great.
Also, what do you wear with your boots to keep your feet warm during colder rainy days? Please provide links and/or pictures if you can.

My winter boots are Kamik and they're awesome so I figured their rain boots should be great.

Best rain boots?
I have tried every rain boot I can find. Most don't over my calf. And if they do the door is so wide it's stupid. I need a pair and can't find any. I've been looking for over a year. Not sure what to do

I have Hunters and like them - they do the job and look cute - I didn't buy the fleece socks but might get them this year. i dont wear them when its really cold out - I wear my snow boots when its slushy and cold and not my rain boots.

I tried the Hunters adjustable back boots in the store last year and they fit well over my calf. I just wasn't willing to pull the trigger then. I'm nervous about ordering any boots without trying them on because of my calves.

My son had Kamik sandals one year. They were amazing and they wore well. He's tough on his summer/beach sandals. Do these have a zipper and if not, are they annoying to pull on? I may jump on the bandwagon.

No zipper. They are not hard to pull on, but I'll admit I have a hell of a time trying to get them off.
I usually have to have DH yank them off as I hold onto a chair for dear life.
Not sure if that is due to my high instep though.
That's the only con, but I think I'd have the same issue in any rain boot that didn't have a zipper.

I have Hunter rain boots. I like them and have the liners. I do not wear them when its cold though because my feet Freeze in them.

I got the kamik ones too
They're not the easiest to pull off but it's not bad
Definitely wear them with socks. I once made the mistake of not wearing socks cuz I ran out real quick and they were really hard to take off

Thanks for the suggestions! I tried on a pair of Kamiks and they were tight on my calves and really difficult to take off. I looked at a few other cheaper pairs too, but didn't like them.
Then, I went into Nordstrom, preparing to splurge on Hunters. I ended up seeing Ugg rain boots in cute colors for half the price. I tried on both brands. The Uggs actually fit over my calves and were just as comfortable, if not more, than the Hunters. I ended up buying the Uggs.

I bought Sporto duck boots from Amazon. Search for my post. They were really inexpensive, comfy and warm. My friend bought a pair of black Tommy Hilfiger duck boots from TJMaxx. They are super cute and she said very comfortable.

thanks I had ordered the steve maddenones. they were $80 fit well and seem warm of course its 80 degrees this week and I probably won't need them now for months
