I am wondering why Randall doesn't like his mom's new husband. That seemed really awkward.
I am glad that Kate and Kevin are separating. They were very co-dependant.
I am interested to see what develops as the babies grow into toddlers etc...
I think he doesn't like him because he was Jack's best friend. That's probably why it's awkward for them.

I don't think they are co dependent. If they were he wouldn't have did what he did to let his sister "go"
Twins have a bond. One I can't explain. I have twin sisters and now I have almost 4 yr old twins
They share a bond. A different one. I wish I had better words to explain

I don't like Miguel, I like Rebecca with Jack so much better, I hope he didn't die or something.

I love this show, I really do. But it's the story of a family, and I wish the entire family interacted more. Everyone's stories are still so disconnected, in a way. My favorite scenes are the flashbacks because you can get a sense of the WHOLE family and all the characters.
I know it kind of has to start off slow like this, but I hope it picks up just a little bit.

I think it's because there is a disconnect between them. The twins have that inherit twin bond and Randall is sort of the unfortunate 3rd wheel. In episode 2, they also showed why Kevin and Randall are estranged. But it looks like they reunite next week.

The one thing I still don't understand though is why they didnt do a csection on Mandy Moore's character. Even in the 80's it wouldnt have been uncommon for multiples. Did they end up explaining this at all and maybe I missed it?
This bothered me too. C-sections were not uncommon in the 80's. The other thing I don't understand is how the triplets were 7 during the challenger explosion.
He kept saying he was in 2nd grade with the challenger, I was in 5th and I am 41 so the timeline doesn't make sense but I really think writers don't think realize we pick up on these little inconsistencies.
I liked the show but it is not on the level of Parenthood for me.

I think the dad passed and then she wound up being with the friend after.. Thats prob why she still wears the necklace..
I love this show!!! I get all emotional watching each episode.. I dont know why but I get teary and smile throughout.. Been a long time I loved a show that much!

I was also happy to see in coming attractions that the dr is back!
I agree the necklace tells me he passed and there wasn't an affair or anything bad with her and Jack.

Anyone watching This Is Us? SPOILERS FROM 10/11!
What's the deal with the doctor? Is he an OB or a pediatrician? Why was he examining the babies? This was 36 years ago, not the middle ages.
Also, re the Challenger, I remember seeing the trailer for this show a LONG time ago. Like I'm pretty sure I was pregnant and my dd is 10 months old now, which means this was made in 2015 so they would have been born in 1979, making them 7 in 1986.
