1st trimester nausea anyone?
Let me start by saying that I am not complaining; it is a miracle I am even pregnant!
I am just wondering who else is sick? I am 10w4d and ever since 8 weeks I am nauseous all day every day. Not throwing up, but so close; and always queezy. I have an aversion to all food. Sometimes it is a struggle just to eat toast. Sometimes I can eat a little but immediately regret it. I just put a call into my OB. I have those preggo pops, ginger snaps, saltines, ginger tea, peppermint tea, soups...
What works for you all? Home remedies?
TIA

Re: 1st trimester nausea anyone?
Warm ginger ale and all the carbs- bagels, soft pretzels, toast, crackers, etc. I also carried mints all the time since bad smells or a bad taste in my mouth would really set me off.
I actually threw up... a lot- everywhere from the shower, to the train station, to my desk at work.
I voiced concerns to my doctor and she said it was normal, a good sign even, and to eat whatever I needed to survive.
I was a lot better around 12 weeks though. Hopefully some relief is on the horizon for you!

CARBS CARBS CARBS worked for me!!! Honestly, I just ate whatever appealed to me that day. I spent a good $600 on take out on a month because I just couldn't decide or stomach much. Mints were a big help to me, as was chocolate, pretzels, and seltzer. Salty things really did it for me. I am pretty sure I ate a salt bagel toasted wth butter and bacon every day for like a month- and you know what I felt so good after! Hahahah stay away from acidic stuff, makes it worse like yogurt, OJ stuff like that. I also religiously took probiotics and I'm convinced that's why my stomach was so good to me during pregnancy. Hang in there and feel better. Remember it won't last forever!

Hard jolly ranchers and toasted bagels with nothing on them. Ginger candies worked for a little while, then I was getting nauseous from those too.
Hang in there hopefully you start to feel better in a week or two!

1st trimester nausea anyone?
ugh, right there with you. i find if i eat first thing when i get up, it helps a lot. my stomach can really only handle carbs, even though i try to add some protein and veggies.
haven't tried the ginger candies or pops. tried ginger ale and it only helped a little. just counting down the days until i start to feel better. i am 10 weeks today, and it's been around the clock nausea

Re: 1st trimester nausea anyone?
First off, congrats! I followed your journey on here, and I'm so happy for you! Second, sadly if you aren't even doing well with toast, there might not be much that helps to ease the nausea. For me, gum or winter mints. Even sugarless gum I was told was fine as long as I ate less than a half a pack a day. The good news is that hopefully you're almost out of the thick of it. Between 10-12 weeks was the worst, and then between 12-13 the nausea went way down!
Good luck to you!!!!

Re: 1st trimester nausea anyone?
This pregnancy the nausea was brutal. I'd have to make sure to have food with me at all times because if I went more than a very short while I'd start gagging and dry heaving from having an empty stomach. I'd make a 2 eggs on wheat bread sandwich every morning and that usually held me until I got to work. I'd bring apples, pretzels, yogurt, fruit punch boxes and a million other snacks just to get through the morning. Any type of meat made me sick and I was turned off by most foods that have any type of smell so I'd just try to eat whatever seemed least disgusting at the moment. Lots of bowls of cereal, that was my typical dinner. Pb&J sandwiches. Doritos... I must have gone through 20 bags of Doritos those first few months when I was really sick because it was one of the few things that didn't gross me out. I didn't do well with hard candies or gum, for me they made me more nauseous. It was really a rough time. I felt like my entire digestive tract was burning and I had diarrhea multiple times a day too. Along with the nausea I'd start sweating heavily and get really dizzy. I would just take it a day at a time and think just a few more weeks. That's what got me through it.
Congrats on your pregnancy and you will feel much better very soon!!!

What helped me was anything sour. Sour Patch Kids specifically.

Ginger gum
But I felt sick every day
It wasn't keeping me in bed and I was able to function but something would always set it off
The gum helped keep it at bay if I was out

Cograts!!! I would just try new things daily. No one particular thing worked. Sucking on mints helped me, probiotics also helped as well! Lemon candies, sour patch. Those worked!

Try to take it at night when you can. Diclegis is actually B-6 and Unisom, which is why it makes you so sleepy. Glad you are feeling better!

1st trimester nausea anyone?
I'm only 4 weeks and it's already starting. I had HG with my last pregnancy and I'm praying it doesn't hit again. 35 weeks of throwing up. Ugh.
