If you are due in the winter, plans regarding Flu shot for your kids, family, etc?
The other board's Flu shot post got me thinking. If you are due during the winter, do you plan to make your other children get the flu shot? Your spouse? Yourself? Grandparents? This is the first time I have thought about this.

If you are due in the winter, plans regarding Flu shot for your kids, family, etc?
I would make EVERYONE who is going to be in contact with the baby get it. The flu can be deadly to newborns/infants.

Due in January- I got the shot as did DH and both sets of grandparents. We asked that no one else visits the first 6 weeks since they will arrive early. No one is happy at all but oh well

Dd2 was born in November and both dh, myself,and dd1 got the flu shot. Baby ended up in the nicu and they had us bring in the grandparents and anyone else we wanted to get free flu and pertussis vaccines. I'm not sure my mom got one bc of health issues she was having but we made sure anyone able that would be around the baby had one.

Yes I unfortunately almost learned this the hard way. If I could go back, I would have gotten it.

I'm due in January I got it dh got it sibling cousins aunt and grandparents all need flu and pertussis shot to be around baby.
