Shaming moms who go out and campaign against them with FALSE information.
Who use their status and platform as a B list "celebrity" to spread false information.
Information that is so completely false in fact that the asshole doctor she was working with lost his medical license over it.
Scaring people with false information that led to a come back of a disease that was pretty much eradicated in the US.
Babies and children have died from measles.
So yes, I'll shame the shit out of her.
She should stick to what she knows best- being a vapid skank- and leave the medical advice to the professionals.

Sharing false information and scaring people, I do not agree with. So for that yes 100% dead wrong.
Im not going to lie I do not know a whole lot about what happened with her and the information she put out there on vaccines I know she was against it because of her own childs battles with autism. Beyond that I honestly dont know cause I dont really pay attention to her beyond seeing a pic here or there...
But the way the statement came out above sounded like more mom shaming of women who choose something different for their child. Most of the time when you choose to live outside other peoples norm it threatens them and they get scared so they attack it. Every mom is out there trying to do what is best for their child I don't shame women who choose to vaccinate and I don't shame women who choose not to.
But this thread is not about vaccines its about her so lets just keep it to that... This is going to get ugly fast and that is not why I come on these boards...

All of this! And not to mention she is the one that insisted and ran the charge that you can cure Autism because now her son is "cured" which is a crock of shit. She needs to just go away because she is an asshole.

I'll be honest. I don't shame moms who work or SAH. I don't shame if you breastfeed or formula feed. I don't care. Because none of those things I feel are harming a child. I feel they are choices that work best for a family or for a mom will all good intentions no matter what. But not vaccinating your kids really does irk me. I just don't understand it. The people who aren't vaccinated in most cased had vaccines as children to protect them from deadly viruses, yet they deny their own child that protection. As an RN I'll tell you that I've seen an infant in the PICU on a vent as a result of pertussis (baby never vaccinated). It's no joke and I just wish that every parent would really research the benefits vs very SMALL risks of vaccinating.

IMO not a hijack at all- it is relevant to who Jenny McCarthy is. This is not about concern over what is in a vaccine (legit IMO) or maybe making a different schedule based on input from your doctor. This is about a woman who has a platform and using it to spread misinformation. She is not a doctor. I don't see any evidence that she studied science during her two years of college. She is pushing an agenda with no medical backup.

Just saw this, I was the original "deadly childhood diseases" poster a few posts up 
Nope, not shaming. I highly subscribe to "we all do what's best for our families" but, as PP's have perfectly explained, she started a movement that was completely unfounded and has lead to millions of moms all over scared that their newborns will get diseases that had previously been eradicated, that are tending to their children in hospitals because they're dying from diseases that had previously been eradicated, and putting in harms way people that can not get vaccinations that were relying on herd immunity.
I used to really like her, as a TV personality (actress?) but now I loathe her because I remember spending the first 6 months of my children's lives nervous as hell that they would get the measles.
