Baby Measuring Big
At my 30 week appt which was on 11/4 (at the hospital where they do the sono), baby was measuring 4.7 lbs however she was in the 80th percentile so was still in normal range. The Dr seemed a little concerned because I have 10 weeks to go. Then my OB office calls saying she is concerned. I have G.D. and my 1st was born 9.9 lbs (did not have G.D. with her). I am on metformin, I am trying my best to eat well, I make big babies apparently...Should I be concerned? I wasn't this closely monitored with my first so I cannot compare. Anyone else measuring big?

Baby Measuring Big
at 30 weeks, dd was measuring around 2.5lbs. I will say, though, that they were wrong with the weight when she was born. They said over 8lbs, and she was 7lbs 1oz

You really never know with my dd#1 they said she would be over 10lbs she was born at 7lbs 13 oz, sometimes they're right and sometimes they're just not. Just keep eating healthy there's not much else you can do about it.

What exactly is the doctor concerned about? Like what can you do about it?
At 31 weeks, I was told the baby was measuring 4 pounds 3 oz. not so much off from you and my doctor was not concerned. I went into preterm labor at 32 weeks, and delivered her at 4 lbs 8 oz. I think a lot of time, these measurements are off though.

Baby Measuring Big
I was just told Friday baby is 8lbs 15oz and by Wed my induction date they were afraid I wouldn't be able to deliver regularly because she would be close to 10lbs.lbs 14 I ended up going into labor Saturday night and when she was born she weighed 7lbs 14 oz.
