Fave sweet potato recipe for Thanksgiving
I usually do a casserole type dish with the marshmallows but wondering if I should switch it up? Any tried and true faves you'd recommend?

Fave sweet potato recipe for Thanksgiving
We actually just bake them plain and each person peels it on his/her dish. Most of my Italian family just eats them as-is, but my siblings and I add butter, brown sugar and cinnamon.
I also like them cut into chunks and roasted with beets and red onion and evoo, fresh thyme, sage, salt and pepper.

my favorite is mashed with marshmallows on top
however my inlaws make a good yam and apple mashup which is great
and i also like mashed sweet potatoes with brown sugar, cinnamon, pecans... sweet potatoes and nuts together are awesome

Just get the ones from Zorn's. I hate sweet potatoes but their's are one of the most delicious things I've ever had.

Fave sweet potato recipe for Thanksgiving
A lot of my family roasts them for the Holidays. I actually do this every week:
Cut the sweets length wise into about 1 inch strips. In a baking pan, cover with olive oil, salt, pepper whatever other spice you may want. Place the potatoes on pan, make sure both sides are covered with oil, add more if you have too, I always add a little more than I think I need. Bake at 400 for about 20 -25 minutes. I always make sure they burn just a bit, I love them like that!

How about sweet potato fries? Just cut them into wedges and fry, then sprinkle with salt. So good!
