Best place to take out salads
What are some good places to get a salad takeout in Suffolk besides Panera? Want to start eating healthier.

I find most italian restaurants make good salads.
Lombardi's makes great ones.
I also like Cheesecake Factory salads.

Yummmm, but I wouldn't consider their salads healthier. They have a million calories!

Most salads with dressings/nuts/cheeses end up being much higher in calories than people expect though. They do have lots of reasonable salads and most of their calories come from their dressing. Just swap for vinegar and it's good. Most of their small salads are 200-500 calories.
My favorite salad there is the super antioxidant salad: "A Delicious Blend of Salad Greens, Spinach, Kale, Avocado, Broccoli, Grapes, Roasted Pear, Blueberries, Onion, Sunflower Seeds and Almonds with Lemon-Blueberry Vinaigrette."
As you can see probably the highest calorie ingredients would be the avocado, olive oil... This salad is only 850 calories and it is so big I usually can only eat half at a time. 425 calories is not a lot plus you can make it less by lessening the amount of dressing you use and ditching the avocado. Plus eating a 400-650 calorie meal that isn't healthy vs. eating 700-900 calories of salad... is still MUCH healthier for you regardless. Calories are important but HEALTHY eating is a bit different than pure calorie counting.

Best place to take out salads
I haven't tried them but check out the energy bar in Patchogue. They have a huge salad bar (not self serve) and you just check off what you want on an order form.

OT but have your tried Athenian Greek across the street? Delish!! It's my go to for Greek.
