Re: Kalahari
We were just there last weekend. It was immaculate. The rooms didn't feel dirty at all and I get very easily skeeved by hotels.
The waterpark itself is awesome. SOOOOO much fun for kids and adults. I had a blast. There is something for everyone from the littlest of kids to the adults. The bars in the waterpark are great too- the drinks are awesome.
This was our second time- I can't wait to go back again.

I was wondering about this too! I want to go over spring break but wasn't sure if my DS (who will be 22 months at the time) would be able to enjoy it.
I wonder if there are any groupons!

There are always groupons but usually for weekdays and they usually black out popular dates- like school breaks.
You 22 month old will enjoy it- they have a huge kiddie area for young toddlers and babies- swings, a mini lazy river that is sooo cute, tiny slides that you can go down with the little ones, sprinklers, etc.

Re: Kalahari
We stayed over the summer and it was great. The kids really loved it and keep asking to go back.
The rooms were pretty basic but clean.

The kiddie area is great. We went right before DD2's 2nd bday. She had a blast. She didn't really like to have her head and face wet, but she still loved it. There are some little things that squirt water to play with and smaller slides to go on. She even went on some of the longer, slower slides - DH took her to the top of the slide and I caught her at the bottom so her head wouldn't go under.

When we went, the place was spotless. We really had a great time. I would definitely go back.

We went twice over the summer and loved it! My kids and hubby can't wait to go back. I found the room to be very clean as well as the waterpark area.

Re: Kalahari
I also have to say the lifeguards there are NO JOKE.
I got yelled at like 3 times last time we went for violating the rules. (sliding down one slide with my DD on my lap, going in a pool that was closed, my DD went down something head first that she wasn't supposed to etc) It became a joke that I was constantly getting in trouble.
They even all walk around with the measuring sticks and randomly measure kids to make sure they are over 48 inches- otherwise they make them put on a life vest
But it's good. They take safety and their jobs very seriously. You want that in a place like this with water, etc. They watch like hawks.
