i feel like a pincushion!
i just had blood drawn for the maternity 21 test and my veins suck! she had to take blood from each arm because the veins were moving so slow.

Next time try drinking a lot of water beforehand. That's a symptom of dehydration.

I did! Well, I thought I did. I drank like half a bottle of water right before. I went on my way in to work, so I didn't want to drink toooooooo much and have to pee during my commute.
ETA my veins are also just awful. last time they had to use veins in my hand.

Same with me. I don't know what happened to me, my veins used to be great. They never used to have trouble getting blood on the first try. Lately, every single time there's an issue. They miss the vein, it rolls away, the blood won't flow... they had to use my hand or my finger instead the last few times.

Ugh I know the feeling. The first appointment they stuck me 4 times! Twice in each arm! I had huge bruises. And no one knew I was pregnant yet so I just looked like a drug addict.

For that test they had three people prick me seven different times and got nothing. The next day they sent me to the oncology unit and got blood on the third try from on top of my forearm! It was the worst
