How much to spend on Religion Teacher?
Putting my holiday gift list together and was wondering how much you would spend on a gift for the religion teacher? I'm not sure if I am doing a gift or a gift card right now but, I wanted to get an idea what others do.

I spend $20-$25 for the religion teacher and scout den mother. I spend about $10 in total for others like the dance teacher and such because they are being paid for their services whereas the scout mother and religion teacher volunteer their time.

How much to spend on Religion Teacher?
$10-$15. We don't have a religion teacher, but that is what I would spend if we had one. We have gymnastics and dance coaches though, and that is what I spend.

I do $30 gc. But I think $25 is a nice amt. I really respect the fact that they volunteer (*which I could also do but don't) to teach my child.

Thank you everyone - this was helpful. Nell - I didn't have him on my original list, someone mentioned something (but, they go to another church and the teacher is our good friend so they weren't that much help).
ETA - I feel sometimes like I spend more money on people who I don't know than I do on my family (DH and I don't exchange and I don't buy much for the kids since we do Christmas morning at my parents and my mom overdoes it).

How much to spend on Religion Teacher?
I'm doing $10. Wish I could do more. But it starts to add up with 2 kids and the teachers, bus driver, dance teachers, etc. it's the thought in my opinion.

How about this- I just give everyone I ever met or ran into this year the routing number to my checking account and they can just clean me out as they see fit.

How much to spend on Religion Teacher?
I am a religion teacher...some kids give gifts, some dont...I'm actually surprised when I receive a gift. Definitely not expected.
I've received candles, ornaments, chocolate. The most useful gifts I've received are gift cards to Michaels/Ac Moore or Oriental Trading. Any crafts we do are otherwise paid out of my own pocket.
ETA: last week, one of the parents asked if they could bring a snack to class. 15 minutes before we let out, they brought munchkins and hot cocoa!

How much to spend on Religion Teacher?
I teach my son's religion and I agree, I don't expect gifts. However I am giving my daughter's religion teacher a $15 gift card to Dunkin Donuts.
