From what I read she rehomed the dog. Yes, against the rules of the contract. So she's being held responsible. Even though she didn't know the dog was missing since it was no longer hers.
Or at least that's her side of it.

Regardless of her reason, she should have followed the contract she signed that the dog needs to go back to the rescue if she cannot keep it. It was not her place to find the dog a home based on that, and apparently she did a crappy job rehoming it since it was found filthy and starving. So to me that still makes her a POS.

Did she make a mistake. Sure. But she thought she was doing something nice
