Day Care Search and Cost
Hello
I'm 4 months pregnant and have been told by several people that i need to look into day cares now to get on wait lists.
I was recently told about Harbor Child Care.
Does anyone know the tuition for this day care?
What seems to be the going tuition for day cares, so that i can have some idea of what to expect?
Any advice, tips and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

For a nb my Suffolk daycare was $325 a week for ft hours.

Day Care Search and Cost
For infant room Harbor will run about $1500 a month for a 5 day week 9 hours a day. It will be a little less for an 8 hour day. We use the Mineola facility and are very happy there. My oldest is now in Prek and my youngest is in his last year of toddler room.

Thank you so much for the info. That is actually the Harbor that was recommended, Mineloa.
I went on the website and it looks great.
Some questions for you:
1-When should i reach out to them for a tour and more info? I'm 20 weeks pregnant today.
2-Can you send your child there 3 or 4 days a week?
3-did i read their vacation policy correctly, does the child have to attend for 12 months before taking vacation? sorry if that sounds like a dumb question, i'm a first time mom. LOL

It's best to visit a few places to evaluate where you feel the most comfortable. Day cares are used to this, just call up and ask for info and make an appt.

I send my kids to Harbor and LOVE it. For 10 hours a day it's a bit over $1600 a month - but it goes down at 18 months and again at 3 years old.
I would go sooner rather than later - never hurts to get on a waiting list and see a bunch (in that area there is a Tutor Time in New Hyde Park and a Learn and Play in Mineola - we checked out about 10 places and I liked Harbor best).
They used to have part time but I'm not sure anymore - I think it was 2 days or 3 days - but you would have to confirm.
That is correct about the vacation policy.
I love my kids teachers, how much fruit they eat, music classes, the indoor gym, yoga, soccer (for 2+ years and a fee) and just the general feel of the place. FM me if you have other questions.
