Honda CR-V or Nissan Rogue?
I'm getting a new car after Christmas, and these are my options. I'm a married mom of two children (6 and 4) and I commute daily from central Nassau to Queens. Currently own a Hyundai Santa Fe.
If you were me, which would you choose and why?

Honda CR-V or Nissan Rogue?
I do the same commute. I have a CRV. It'd surprisingly roomy. Cargo space is great. Back seat isn't huge but good for kids. If you park on the street it's not too big and easy to fit in spaces. Thr updated 2017 crv comes standard with a lot. Compared to the Rogue I'd say the big difference is price. I think Honda is more willing to negotiate than Nissan. Lease incentives are much better too.

Re: Honda CR-V or Nissan Rogue?
I love the CR-V! That's what I'd like to get. DH likes the Rogue a little better because he's really tall and it's a little roomier up front. I think it might be in his head, but I'm 5'3" so what do I know?
ETA: My ILs have the Rogue and my SIL has the CRV so I've been in both regularly. They are very similar otherwise.

Re: Honda CR-V or Nissan Rogue?
I know nothing about the Rogue, but I really don't like my CRV. It's super loud inside. I feel like I can't hear my kids, or phone calls. I'm comparing it to a Grand Cherokee that I used to have though, so much different car. But I felt like my Accord was also really loud inside.
I hate the way the proximity unlock works, it only opens the drivers door. When I remote start, it turns off when I open the door and I have to restart the car - super annoyed and wastes gas. The technology is laughable and the touchscreen controls are like 10 years behind, and I'm not really techy.
I honestly have no idea why they are so popular, price point maybe? Or amount of cargo space for the size car? That's the only plus for me. I'm counting down the days till it's gone.

Never had a Honda CRV but I did lease 3 Rogue's. Loved the car for the money. Great in the snow. Great on gas. Never had any issues with any of them.

We're very happy with our cr-v.
We'll only buy hondas. Anything else we'd lease.

I'm just coming off my 3 year lease of my rogue. Loved it. Most likely will lease a rogue again. I don't know anything about the crv, I'm not crazy about the look of them.

I would go with the cr-v. I owned a Nissan for 8 years, and I will never buy another. We now own an Acura, which is the same company as Honda, and have been very happy so far

Re: Honda CR-V or Nissan Rogue?
Drive them. We test drove the CRV and hated it. Actually, I think I just sat it in and could tell I didn't like the design. Then we checked out teh Santa Fe, which we loved, but it was out of our price range. Finally, we went to look at the Rogue and decided that was too small. We wound up with a Murano, which we love. Fast forward 1 more child and the Murano became too small so we replaced our sedan with a Highlander. The Santa Fe is a roomy car, so you will be downsizing either way with the Rogue or CRV.
