But didnt Kate say something about watching the steelers win the Super Bowl with her dad in 2006? That's the reason I think jack died more recently.

Jack had to have died after they 3 were in High School because he was at the foot ball game where the boys got into a fight
The 3 would be 21 for September 11th because they were born in 1980

I thought she watched it with him alive in 2006, then again in 2009 with his ashes and they won again? Maybe I'm remembering wrong.

I love this show ! I can't wait for it to come back next month.
Why do some of you think Jack died in 9/11? Did I miss something that might have indicated that?
Also- I'm not happy that Mandy married Miguel it really bothers me lol

I really hope he does not die in 9/11. I feel like 9/11 is such a massive huge think Id rather them not go into it. I want it to be more personal. Does that make sense? Not trying to sound insensitive to 9/11 victims, my heart breaks for those who were lost I just don't want to open that up on this show.

I thought kevin said his dad died when he was 15 when he and the actress crashed that funeral or maybe I just thought that because the woman whose husband died son was 15? I also hate mandy and Miguel together.

I also just wanted to say I didn't know how it would be with Mandy portraying the older version of Rebecca. It took a little adjusting, but I actually think she does a good job.

DH and I can't get enough of this show! We both think something def tragic happens to Jack because she still wears his necklace and the whole best friend comforting the wife thing. I am not looking forward to that storyline, it make me feel queasy to think of the pain they went through when he died. Best show ever!

As far as Jack's death, I could see it in keeping with the show that he dies indirectly from something related to one of his children, like he is driving to some sort of game and crashes. I don't know if I think that is exactly it, but something along those lines.
I feel like the twins, in particular, harbor guilt, and and Randall is so stoic, maybe as a defense mechanism, so maybe that is why.
I think suicide is another possibility. The show has shock value, and Jack is generally portrayed as a positive and happy character.
