Can I say no !?
RSVP date for my daughter was Dec 20. I had a lot of responses just after the holiday which were fine.
I have final count yesterday and made goody bags this weekend. I have no extra supplies. Party is this weekend.
A mom from school I don't know texted me last night that her son wants to come.
Is it rude for me to let her know I've already given the count and bought supplies?
It's likely someone won't show due to illness but this isn't fair. I will feel bad with not enough goody bags.

I would say yes and just make up a goody bag with other things you can easily find or have in case everyone shows up.

I completely agree. I sympathize, it's annoying and for those who just "forget" rude but these are trials and tribulations of party planning. As a former party planner, I feel your pain.

Can I say no !?
Let the kid come. It was the holidays and people are busy.
I would not be able to say no to a kid.
To an adult, yes LOL but not to a kid.

Re: Can I say no !?
I've had multiple RSVP yes literally the day before the party. People are so rude.
I always say yes even if it stresses me out. It has always worked out. Someone always is sick or gets the time wrong or whatever. Some people leave early and don't take a favor. I have put together totally random things I have around the house.

I would say yes and I would make up a few extra bags just in case, even if it's not all the same stuff. I had kids show up that hadn't even rsvpd. I think pay places are used to adjusting for more or less people.

I would say yes... Ive never cared about goody bags to be honest and most of the time we leave without taking one.

Re: Can I say no !?
I am in the same boat as you. Someone just RSVP yes for a party today and RSVP was on the 28th. I am just about to order supplies online and I am still missing 12 RSVPs I refuse to order that many extras and I have to order today so if any yes RSVP come after today i will not have enough bags.
I was also comptemplating telling anyone after today sorry they can not come.
I hate that people are rude.
Did you one for you child(ren). I count them in and make them goody bags so if worse comes to worse I always have 2 extras on hand. If you do the same I would probably let the person come and give the goody bag that you would give your child to the extra kid.

Re: Can I say no !?
It's not the kids fault that his/her parents are rude. I would never say no. It's just part of having kids parties. Life isn't fair.

Re: Can I say no !?
I would never tell a child they couldn't come to the party invited to. In the past if I was missing RSVP's I would but extra goody bags. I always feel like better to have too many than not enough.
