He's a little weird lol. But a thorough dr. It's hard to find a Good endo and I really like him.

Oh wow...didn't know it's hard to find a good one. I am in Central Suffolk so Smithtown, Stony Brook, Setauket, even south shore, Bay Shore.

Dr Michael Schaefer. 1723 n ocean ave, Medford. Right off the expressway exit 63. He's younger and He's great!

I only have thyroid experience which is why i go. All the doctors I've seen are disgustingly antiquated and only with my personal YEARS of research have I basically become my own doctor.
Nothing more infuriating then a doc saying you're fine when you're telling him you don't feel fine.

If you have any questions you can FM. I am now on armour and feel 1000x better than w synthroid or levo. No thanks to my doctors, none would prescribe for me until the 5th. Also made some dietary changes too. I don't mind answering questions. Also I suggest following hypothyroid mom on Facebook. Read the comments, embarrassingly enough I've learned more there than by my doctors.

Thanks much. Glad you are feeling better. Something was found on a sono I have to get checked out, so this is all new to me

I would call a lot and see if there are cancellations. I got lucky just a few weeks ago and this happened to me. Or I explained I had a problem and needed to see the dr sooner and they ended up fitting me in.

Dr. Michael Shanik -- also in Smithtown. Love him.
ETA -- Apparently the same office as Dr. Kugler. I knew it sounded familiar, but I've never seen him. (Just looked it up to make sure I wasn't losing my mind lol.)

I like her - I HATE her office staff to the point that I am looking for a new endo. She is aware of the problems, and yet, they continue.
