Manicure
Do you ever feel like they don't paint up close enough to the cuticle? This drives me mad. Two manis in a row I've walked out feeling like my mani looks like it's starting to grow out already (both gel too so much for two full weeks). I know I should say something but I guess I don't look hard enough at my nails until I leave

It's really frustrating. I had a bunch of good ones in the fall, but the last two have felt like a waste of money. They were done by two different girls too.

Re: Manicure
I don't go for manicures anymore but I used to experience the same thing on the occasions when I did. (Which was frustrating, because I'd literally go a couple times a year...it was never a habit of mine to go; in fact I find them to be annoying and a time suck)
I do my nails on my own and sometimes use a latex peel-off barrier around my cuticles so I can get all the way to the base of the nail without painting my skin.

Those things are amazing. And fun to peel off, too.

Re: Manicure
All the time. It drives me nuts. I always tell them to go closer to the cuticle. But sometimes it backfires and the mani looks like I did it with left hand and then I ask them to redo.
There is one lady who gets pretty close but she's always busy with filling or gel. But when I'm able to get her, I'm happy with my nails.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates this lol I thought I was just being anal about it

Oooh, I need this in my life. Can you recommend a brand? I just looked on Amazon and they have a ton.

No, I have to say that I'm lucky my manicurist always is super close to cuticle whether it's gel polish or regular. Actually any of my long term manicurists have always done it right. The only times I can remember this being an issue is if I went to a place randomly or didn't have my regular technician. Keep going to different people and places until you find one who does it correctly and stick with them!

Re: Manicure
I watch SimplyNailogical on YouTube and she actually says not to go too close to the cuticle.
