Thanks!

Thanks - I was trying to get an idea as to sizing... Someone told DH they had a Philips one and paid $100 so he thought this one that I found would be huge (but, I didn't find any that cost $100 by Philips).

Re: Air fryer

So does the stuff come out tasting all yummy and fried as if it was fried in oil?
This intrigues me!

Re: Air fryer

Even though its just dh and i, I still need a bigger one ( we eat a lot )

food comes out AMAZING. i made peking duck on Monday and air fried filet mignon yesterday. tonight im either making bbq ribs or fried chicken legs.

it traps in moisture , so the meat is SO juicy and the skin is crispy like kfc. the only oil I use is olive oil spray to keep food from sticking.

its so easy to use and I dont have to use my oven

I've never even heard of this but I am intrigued! How do vegetables come out in it?

I make zucchini chips. They are perfect as a side dish. I like them bent on top but still soft

This sounds amazing! How do you know what you can make in there? Is a recipe book included with the air fryer? Or do you just google? I never would have thought to make air fried filet mignonChat Icon

Re: Air fryer

it comes with a booklet. there are also cookbooks out..

its really a glorified toaster oven, but better. WAY better

i made the best grilled cheese in there. no oil or butter. perfectly toasted bread with perfectly melted cheese in 3 minutes.

fluffernutters also! really, anything.

i have a TINY kitchen ( 1 bedroom co op). it takes up space but I make it work.

I've wanted to buy one too but I need a bigger capacity than the Phillips one.

Let me know what you find and how you like it.

Also, how do you know how long to cook things? Like I would never think to put steak in there.

Re: Air fryer

i put it on max for like 10 min and i take apiece out and cut to see when its done lol

Last night I made ribs. they were pretty large. I tried cramming 4 in there and that caused the larger of 4 , in the middle) take the longest. so the second batch I only cooked 3 and they cooked faster and better. Its trial and error, but without having any errors. it requires zero effort.

We got it yesterday! I overcooked the french fries I made (followed the instructions in the manual) but, DH made breaded chicken cutlets and broccoli and they came out great.
