Completely devastated
Just got the call I'm not pregnant. I kind of knew it in my heart but I guess because my first IVF resulted in my son I kinda thought that this one really wouldn't fail. I wonder if it was because it was a frozen cycle? I had never done a FET before, this was my first time. I'm so depressed.

Thanks. I Just don't know why it didn't work. My son was an almost perfect 8 cell. And this time we transferred two and they were another 8 cell and 4 cell. I didn't have much hope for the 4 cell but I thought the 8 would work just as it did for my son. I just don't get it. I hate this. Now I have 3 embryos left over and they are a 6, a 9 and a 7 cell. I just feel like if the 8 didn't work then why would the other 3?

Re: Completely devastated
Even in optimal circumstances, the chance of a given cycle working is unfortunately not 100%, even when you have a genetically tested normal embryo. It doesn't mean FETs won't work for you, it just means this FET didn't work.

Re: Completely devastated
im sorry. its a really sucky feeling. there are no guarantees for success even under the best of conditions. you'll never know why. you just find the strength to dust yourself off and try again.
my friend at work did 6 fresh cycles of IVF for her 2nd child. she decided to do one more and that would be it for her. The 7th cycle she put back 3 not so good grade embryos (and this is like 8 years ago I believe) and 1 of them took. The drs didnt even want her to put them in b/c the quality was so so.
you just NEVER know. perfect ones dont take and not so good ones do.
