Sure Feed Pet Feeder
Does anyone have this?
I have a fat cat and he really needs to lose weight. I've switched to no grain food, limited portions, etc. But I've been watching and he eats my other two cats' food as well.
We've switched to these special feeding bowls and are still in the training session. It works with a special collar or microchip. You register that chip and the door opens for only that animal.
I'm wondering if anyone else has tried this, and how it has worked for them.
Thanks!
You can see a video in the link below.

Re: Sure Feed Pet Feeder
I don't have cats but I do have 2 dogs. They are currently on the same weight loss food (everyone in this house can stand to lose a few lol) I watch them when I feed them. It's quite annoying to stand in the kitchen until they are done, but it's the only way. Tried feeding them in separate rooms, but they are too interested in what the other is doing to actually finish their meals.
I'll wait for some replies because this may be the answer for my little dog! He doesn't eat as fast as the big one and she stalks him while he finishes. He tries to eat fast and starts to gag on it.
It looks really cool.
My only concern would be, as it's closing and the other cat approaches, can they get a paw or whiskers caught in there?

I have a fat cat also, but he's the only animal , so I can't blame him eating others food! I have never seen this before, but it looks like a good solution. I would just want to know lke PP mentioned, if there is chance the animals paw could get caught.

I'm still in the training stages, but I'm at the point where it almost closes. I have yet to have a paw or whisker get caught. They also don't really like to eat at the same time near each other. They are still a little freaked out when it moves.
It's kind of small and with my fat cats, there isn't really room for their fat heads to get in there while the other is eating.
I think if something blocks it, it opens. I'll stick my fingers in it in a few days and report back.
But if you go on YouTube and watch some reviews, some have mentioned that the other animal can go and eat the other food.

Re: Sure Feed Pet Feeder
OK, I tested it with my finger, and I can't see how a whisker or paw would get caught. It's kind of flimsy in that way. But not flimsy to keep the others out.
