Do you think
Spicer, Conway and whoever else may eventually resign? Do you think when they were given their positions they expected this much backlash?
Vanity Fair has an article about Kushner being pissed over some of Trump's actions when dealing with Mexico. I know this is not necessarily a creditable source but it makes me wonder what the environment is like in the White House right now. Spicer and Conway are on the constant defense. Do you think they will eventually say enough is enough?

Re: Do you think
I think any of them could get fed up and walk at any time. Except Bannon and maybe Kushner.
KAC has young kids, as do Preibus & Spicer I believe. Being away from their kids for so long has to take a toll even if the atmosphere is good. There are SO many leaks, and the tension seems so unreal. I saw a pic of KAC and her nails were bitten down to stubs and even looked a little bloody in a couple spots. It just sounds like a really unsustainable environment for good mental and physical health.
I don't know the accuracy of what I've read but I feel like the bungled roll out of the travel ban tells us that there is definite dysfunction.

Re: Do you think
I've thought about this, too. I imagine this position they accepted comes with a lot of pressure and stress and is a very unstable environment. I think at least one may eventually resign or be let go and replaced with someone Bannon thinks is more suitable.

Re: Do you think
Possible I was watching Spicer the other day at a press conference and I was thinking- I wouldn't want that man's job for all the money in the world!

I agree. He is already losing his temper at every press conference and just so combative. I am waiting for the day when he really looses his shit on someone and walks away

I've been thinking that about the Press Secretary for the last 20+ years, and that was for Presidents who were at least *trying* to be honest and do the right thing. I can't imagine having to outright lie and/or misdirect the press pool, and the entire nation every single time you open your mouth.

Do you think
Spicer is terrible and he was this close to losing total control during yesterday's briefing. The press seems to be banding together to call him out. I don't know if he'll resign, I thought if he didn't quit after that first embarrassing statement he made about crowd sizes he must have no dignity to begin with.
That rogue staff Twitter has said priebus has been on three verge of quitting a few times. I will be surprised if that happens though.

Re: Do you think
Funny I said to DH last night that I don't see Spicer even lasting a year. He is obviously stressed out already and its not going to get easier. Can you imagine being TOLD to go out there and feed a line of BS to the reporters and then having to back it up with "alternative facts". I imagine he runs back to his office after each press conference and either downs a shot of whiskey or bangs his head on the wall OR he actually believes the BS and is happy to deliver the "message". who knows.....

I can see Spicer resigning before Conway. She seems to live for the chaos and gets off on it.
Rumor has it that Priebus wants to walk, but the GOP wants him to stay because he is basically the only establishment republican in the White House.

Re: Do you think
I didn't realize KellyAnn had children. What a great example she must be for them. Lying is the way to get what you want. No need for integrity or humanity.
ETA - I want so bad for Spicer to just throw his papers down one day and say screw this. I hope everyday to see some glimmer of a human soul inside either of them.

Re: Do you think
I think they are ride or die with Trump. They have no souls, they can sleep easy with that fat paycheck. If they haven't jumped ship yet I really don't think they will. Those two are nuttier than a fruitcake.

Totally agree! I was watching thinking that I don't ever remember a press secretary conducting themselves like this. Then again I never thought I'd see a president conduct himself like this either
