LIRR parking in Great Neck and Manhasset
I have a doctor's appointment next week then need to catch the LIRR to work at either Great Neck or Manhasset and don't live in either town. Can anyone tell me where legal parking begins near those stations starting at 10AM? Feel free to FM me. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the majority of parking (if not all) at both stations are resident permits. Regardless, finding parking at ANY train station at 10am or later is very difficult. I'd probably opt for a cab.

drive to douglaston and park on the street! its VERY CLOSE to Great NECK its what I do every morning. park on the WESTBOUND side, otherwise eastbound theres valet for $7.

There is only 90 minute street parking anywhere near the train in manhasset and three hour parking in great neck near the train.

Also do you know how valet works? And is it $7 an hour?

I don't know how the valet works because I have never used it but I have seen the sign. I know you just pull up right near the train station. I don't know if it's just to valet or if you have to pay an additional amount for the parking.

no its $7 for the day. if you go to the other side off the tracks, you can park in front of any house for free. The residents wont slash your tires for parking in front of their homes like they do on Long island lol
