Cost of MaterniT21, Panorama, Harmony tests?
Just curious how much the cost of the NIPT screening was for you especially if you have a high deductible health plan. I'm AMA so insurance should accept coverage, but since I have an HDHP and haven't met my deductible yet, I was wondering how much I may be charged. I know all plans are different, but any information would be appreciated.

I wasn't covered for the m21 test it would have been $600 oop. I choose not to do it unless my 12 week scan showed something off. I couldn't do the panorama with the twins

If I'm looking at the correct charge, it was $650 for maternit21. I was able to call them, give my insurance info and find out the cost before I had the test done.

When I was called I was told $200. I got a bill for $1600 since my plan is arguing it was billed out of network. I appealed it am waiting for a reply. I was told by numerous people that this is the same thing that has happened to them as well

When I was called I was told $200. I got a bill for $1600 since my plan is arguing it was billed out of network. I appealed it am waiting for a reply. I was told by numerous people that this is the same thing that has happened to them as well
Is this maternit21? When my insurance didn't cover it, and when they covered out of network, maternit21 told me I could pay $200. I just had to call their billing dept. after I got the bill and they reduced it. I would try calling them again.
My 3rd time, it was covered in network and I had to pay the in network fee because it was less than my deductible.
I always recommend calling first because things can change.

Yes, maternit21. I was told to call them after my insurance comes back with the appeal response.

I know some of the tests only charge $200 or $250 if insurance won't cover it. But if you're AMA then it should be covered. I think I only paid the cost of a specialist co-pay when I had mine.

i have a high deductible insurance plan. i called the lab to find out the cost (MaterniT21) and they told me it would be ~$50-$100. had the test and then got a bill for over $600. i called to complain and they revised it to $100.

Thanks! I called MFM to try to get an idea of the cost and the receptionist said that it will be pretty expensive with a high deductible health plan so for those in that situation who don't want to pay a huge cost for the test, they use a lab that offers the option of paying $200 OOP.

I called my insurance company because I was concerned they wouldn't cover it. First, someone told me it wasn't covered. When I pressed a little more, I was put on hold and the girl came back and said it was--with a $40 copay. I had the test two weeks ago. I'm praying I don't get a huge bill in the mail.

panorama is the cheapest of them all my dr told me. He said sometimes they send a $200 bill, but if they do they would handle it with the company. We never got a bill, though.
