Castor oil for hair growth?

I just read a blog that suggested using castor oil to promote hair growth and increase thickness. Has anyone ever tried this? Do you have to wash your hair the next morning before you go out?

There was recently a thread on here about using it for eyelashes. I bought it after reading that and have been using it for lashes and brows. Too soon yet to tell if its working, but you would definitely have to wash your hair the next morning

I got mine recently and have used it about 4 times in the past 2 weeks. I got it after a friend told me about it, and her hair looks great -I remember hair complaining about her hair falling a lot-.

I have put it on, massage and wear a shower cap for 1 hour or so; and I have left it over night (no shower cap because I can't sleep with that). I always wash my hair afterwards. I mixed it with other stuff, but I have read that you don't really need to do that.
